DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) is an email protocol that a domain owner publishes to specify what should happen to any Emails that fail the SPF and DKIM authentication tests. DMARC essentially determines whether the failed messages should be Quarantined, Rejected or passed through.
Ultimately, DMARC becomes an impenetrable barrier to your inbox, and if configured properly, can prevent phishing and malware attacks from appearing in your inbox.
