StongBox Email FAQs

Got a Question? We got an answer.

  • What is StrongBox Business Email?

StrongBox Business Email is an email service, and platform that was specifically designed for small to medium sized businesses. Unfortunately, many small businesses mistakenly use personal email for professional use. A StrongBox business Email address will align with your company domain thereby adding to your brand credibility.

  • Can I have my new Business Email forward to another Email.

Yes. StrongBox Email allows you to forward Emails to one or more accounts. It can also retain a copy of the forwarded Email or not, depending on how you set it up.

  • Can I send a large file to a Email recipient using StrongBox Business Email?

Absolutely! Often business Email users need to send large files to their business associates. We make it easy in our Webmail Interface. In fact, you can send files as large as 100MB without the concern of other mail servers blocking your attachments.

  • Can I setup a Business Email, even if I don't own a domain name?

Yes. If you don't own a domain name, we can register, configure, and setup your new Email accounts. Our experts can do it all. You just need to call. We love helping our customers get setup from scratch.

  • Can I access my Email from my Mobile Devices?

Absolutely! StrongBox Business Mail is perfect for business people on the move. Our Email accounts can easily and securely be accessed with any Email Client (i.e. Outlook, Mozilla Flock, Apple's Mail, and Cell Phone Mail Apps). We offer POP3 and IMAP protocol connections. Additionally, we include Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security connections.

  • Do StrongBox Emails include aliases and how do they work?

Yes aliases are included with all Strongbox Emails! Aliases are additional email addresses you create for existing email users. For instance, you can assign an employee, John Doe (john@mybusiness.com), the aliases jdoe@mybusiness.com and sales@mybusiness.com. Email messages sent to any of these aliases will go directly to john@mybusiness.com's inbox.

  • If I delete an Alias, can i re-create it later?

Yes! Re-creating an alias will immediately restore the alias functionality. Note, however, that it will not restore any Email the alias had previously received.

  • What is Email authentication Sender Policy Framework (SPF)?

Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an Email authentication method that specifies the mail servers authorized to send email for your domain. SPF's purpose is to protect your domain from spoofing, and helps ensure that your Email messages are ultimately delivered properly. Mail servers that receive Emails from your domain use SPF to verify that the Email messages it receives are actually from your authorized domain sender.

  • What is Email spoofing; and why should I care?

Spoofing is spammers illegally impersonating your domain or organization to send bogus Email messages that appear to come from you or your organization. What's worse, is that spoofed Email messages can be used for malicious purposes, like spreading false information, sending out malignant software, or fooling people into releasing sensitive and/or personal information. SPF also helps receiving servers verify that Emails sent from your domain are actually from your organization's authorized mail servers. Ultimately, this protects you and your organization.
